Job Description

Overview We are seeking a proactive and skilled Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical systems and equipment across our manufacturing and facilities operations. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability of machinery and infrastructure. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills in a fast-paced environment while contributing to the continuous improvement of our operations. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on mechanical equipment using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools. Troubleshoot mechanical issues efficiently by interpreting schematics, mechanical drawings, and system diagrams. Operate and calibrate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to support automated machinery functions. Conduct welding repairs and fabrication as needed to maintain equipment integrity. Utilize electrical experience and tools such as ohmmeters to diagnose electrical components within mechanical systems. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Assist with facilities maintenance tasks including residential painting, plumbing, or general upkeep to support overall plant operations. Supervise or lead maintenance teams during shift operations or projects, ensuring safety protocols are followed. Support manufacturing processes by ensuring machinery uptime and minimizing downtime through prompt repairs. Collaborate with other departments to improve system efficiency and safety standards. Qualifications Proven experience in facilities or manufacturing maintenance with a strong focus on mechanical systems. Knowledge of schematics, technical drawings, and mechanical troubleshooting techniques. Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and electrical systems. Skilled in welding techniques and metal fabrication processes. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical diagrams accurately. Familiarity with CMMS software for work order management and record keeping. Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by electrical experience; ability to use tools such as ohmmeters effectively. Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and team collaboration. Supervising or leadership experience is preferred to guide maintenance teams effectively. $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
