If you take pride in keeping things running smoothly, enjoy helping others, and can respond quickly to maintenance needs, we want to hear from you! About the Role As our On-Call Handyman, you will provide timely repairs and maintenance support to ensure our residents live in safe, comfortable, and well-maintained homes. This is a flexible, as-needed position ideal for someone looking for supplemental income or semi-retired trades experience. Key Responsibilities Perform minor repairs including plumbing (leaky faucets, toilets), electrical (outlets, switches, lighting), carpentry, and drywall patching. Handle caulking, door/lock adjustments, and window repairs. Assemble furniture, install shelves, and hang pictures/curtain rods. Respond to resident service requests and emergency calls (within established response times). Conduct routine safety checks and preventive maintenance. Keep accurate records of work performed. Maintain a clean, professional, and courteous demeanor with residents. Requirements Proven handyman or maintenance experience (residential preferred). Strong knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repairs. Ability to work independently and troubleshoot effectively. Reliable transportation and valid driver's license. Smartphone for receiving work orders and communicating with management. Ability to pass a background check. Patience and compassion when working with residents. Availability for evening and weekend on-call rotations.
