Maintenance Technician•Industrial Coatings /
Automotive Location:
Metro Detroit Area Pay:
Up to $27/hour (based on experience)
Shift:
1st Shift | 6:00 AM•7:00 AM start time
Employment Type:
Full-Time | Overtime Available Urgent Opening•Immediate Hire We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician with a strong background in industrial coatings, automotive manufacturing, or similar production environments. This is a hands-on role supporting production equipment, coating systems, and facility operations. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where minimizing downtime and maximizing efficiency are critical. Key Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on production and coating equipment Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems Maintain and repair transfer systems and production lines Inspect, test, and diagnose equipment issues to reduce downtime Support continuous operation of coating systems and machinery Complete daily, weekly, and monthly inspections Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment Communicate effectively with production and leadership teams Document work orders and track maintenance activity Qualifications Minimum 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment Strong hands-on experience with: Electrical systems Hydraulics Pneumatics Mechanical repair Plumbing systems Experience in coatings, paint lines, or automotive manufacturing strongly preferred Experience with transfer systems highly preferred PLC troubleshooting experience is a plus Ability to troubleshoot efficiently in a high-production environment Forklift (Hi-Lo) experience is a plus Strong attendance, reliability, and work ethic Preferred Backgrounds Candidates with experience in the following are highly encouraged to apply: E-coat, powder coat, or paint line operations Automotive suppliers (Tier 1 or Tier 2) Injection molding or plastics manufacturing Metal finishing or coating facilities Physical Requirements Lift up to 50 lbs regularly (up to 70 lbs occasionally) Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting Ability to work around machinery, noise, and industrial conditions Why Apply Competitive pay based on experience Stable, full-time opportunity Overtime available Opportunity to work with advanced production and coating system Maintenance Technician•Industrial Coatings /
