About This Role Every position at Common Citizen from seed to sale, is contributing to our mission to serve our fellow citizens of Michigan with the highest quality, safest cannabis product through our highly individualized and education-oriented provisioning centers. Reporting to the Safety & Facilities Manager, the Facilities Technician II will be responsible with assisting the team for smooth operations of our plant/greenhouse at the Marshall facility. In this role, your responsibilities will encompass assisting with operational efficiency, work order completion, control systems & preventative maintenance. Responsibilities Outlined below is what we see you doing at this point in time. We are a fast-growing company looking for people that are excited to grow along with us. Responsibilities include but not limited to: Continuously Refine Operations to Maximize Efficiency. A Facilities Tech must have the ability to learn, assist and help improve the facilities maintenance schedule and equipment to specifications. Support delivery reliability and partner with your co-workers and operations to create continuous improvement opportunities, driving efficiency in facilities and operations. Follow all safety and regulatory policies while working safely in the facility environment. Actively promote and adopt the safety culture that all accidents are preventable Follow all GMP's to ensure the Integrity of our product. Attend and support all training opportunities Assist and perform day to day physical facility maintenance, by maintaining a close working relationship with Facilities Manager and Team Sustain workload in a preventative maintenance plan and ensure good communication with outside contractors as required. Assist daily with facilities security needs Maintain a clean and 5S work area - adopt and promote the site Lean manufacturing adaptation Maintain HVAC physical plant per equipment manufacturer's recommendations and company standards Assist with special projects associated with building changes, including but not limited to construction, expansion, and reconfiguration. Assist lead on all electrical systems as necessary and as circumstances dictate, provide necessary cross-training of systems such as Fire Panel, UPS system, VFD's, etc. Exhibit ownership of focus areas to support the team and culture of the facility Be part of the on - call rotation to assist the facility after hours and weekends The Experience You Bring and the Skills weNeed:
5-10 years of industrial, facilities, and/or agriculture maintenance experience required Greenhouse and or agricultural experience preferredFlexibility:
ability to work happily in a fast paced and lively work environment Strong mechanical, electrical, and HVAC background and aptitude that exhibits troubleshooting skills Experience with 3-phase and 480-volt electrical experience required Working knowledge of a physical plant/manufacturing facility Basic computer skills to support our adopted Computerized Managed Maintenance System Good communication skills as an excellent team player Help build and grow with the company A passion for humanity and desire to change the social perception of cannabis Problem solving skills Physical Requirements Regularly required to stand and walk for long periods of time Use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
