Job Summary:

As the Maintenance Mechanic, you will repair, install, and maintain your assigned mechanical systems equipment in good condition.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Keeps supervision informed of problems, conditions, and status of assigned work. Makes emergency repairs to building systems while on single coverage shifts. Supports work with documentation. Assists maintenance mechanics and skilled tradesman with troubleshooting, repair, construction and installation of building systems, equipment, and fixtures. Regularly performs and assists with the preventive maintenance of equipment, checking oil levels, belts, temperature and fluid levels, air pressures, cleaning equipment, changing filters, etc. Makes a variety of repairs to equipment and facilities as required, such as beds, replacing light bulbs, painting, grounds, clearing drains and other general maintenance. May be assigned to move furniture and equipment. Investigates/ identifies and repairs minor malfunction of equipment and utilities. Orders parts to complete assigned work orders. REQUIREMENTS

High school graduate Skills and abilities in the areas of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting, carpentry, and general maintenance.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS 3

years general maintenance experience with proven competency in the areas of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting, and carpentry.
