Job Description

Direct hire! Well-established steel processing company is seeking a 3rd shift Maintenance Technician. Qualified candidates must have Journeyman status. 3rd shift: 12am-8am, Sunday-Thursday You would be responsible for the repairs and maintenance of machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment by performing the following duties: Follows all policies and procedures as outlined in the Standard Operating Procedures, Environmental Management System, and various other Employment Policies and sources as they relate to the job function. Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble. Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts. Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections. Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements. Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments. Repairs or replaces defective parts. Installs special functional and structural parts in devices. Lubricates and cleans parts. Starts devices to test their performance. Sets up and operates lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts. Initiates purchase order for parts and machines. Repairs electrical equipment. Follows OSHA standard when performing lockout/tagout procedures. Qualified candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, and 2 to 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Government or company-sponsored apprenticeship program or degree a must. Must be able to lift/move 25 pounds regualry and occasionally 100 pounds. Apply today for immediate consideration!
