Job Description

We are looking for an Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our Ontonagon, MI Team! The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical and electrical equipment in a manufacturing or industrial environment. This role ensures that machinery operates efficiently, safely, and with minimal downtime.
MAJOR DUTIES
Perform routine maintenance on production equipment, including inspection, lubrication, and adjustments Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems Troubleshoot equipment failures and implement corrective actions quickly Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals Install, align, and calibrate new machinery and equipment Maintain accurate maintenance records and logs Follow safety standards and comply with OSHA regulations Assist in preventive and predictive maintenance programs Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime Identify opportunities for process and equipment improvements
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma (technical or trade school); Associate degree in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or related field preferred Experience with industrial machinery maintenance Knowledge of electrical systems (motors, PLCs, wiring) Familiarity with mechanical systems (gearboxes, conveyors, pumps) Ability to use hand and power tools safely Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Basic computer skills for maintenance tracking systems Ability to work independently and as part of a team Experience with PLC programming and automation systems preferred Certification in maintenance or electrical systems preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 lbs.
