Garage Door Installer

Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Garage Door Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and experience in installation and repair of garage doors. This role requires a commitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction, ensuring that all installations are completed safely and efficiently. Responsibilities Install, repair, and maintain various types of garage doors and openers. Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine installation requirements. Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues with garage door systems. Perform locksmithing tasks as needed for secure installations. Execute metal stud framing for structural support when necessary. Apply caulking to seal gaps and ensure weather resistance. Conduct fixture installations related to garage door systems. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion while maintaining high standards of quality. Adhere to safety protocols and regulations during all installation processes. Qualifications Proven experience in garage door installation or a related field is preferred but not needed. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate hand tools and power tools effectively. Familiarity with electrical systems as they relate to garage door openers is a plus. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately. Skills in frame carpentry are advantageous for proper installation practices. Experience in welding is desirable for certain installations. A valid driver's license is required for travel to job sites. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential.
