Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and skilled Property Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of our residential properties. Your expertise will help maintain a comfortable and well-maintained environment for our vacation rental guests. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your carpentry, finishing, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing skills in a fast-paced, guest-focused setting. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical equipment. Conduct residential drywall, trim, painting, and other carpentry tasks to uphold property aesthetics and safety standards. Construct small decks, gazebos, firepits, sheds, outdoor kitchens or other amenities to enhance the home appeal and function. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities within our computerized system. Supervise or assist with subcontractors during specialized repairs or renovations while ensuring quality standards are met. Qualifications Proven experience in property management with a focus on residential environments. Strong carpentry, finish carpentry, mechanical, plumbing and electrical knowledge combined with problem solving and strong organizational skills. Skilled in drywall, trim, painting, and basic carpentry tasks. Ability to read technical diagrams, schematics, and electrical blueprints effectively. Experience supervising or leading maintenance teams is preferred but not required. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly in English. Proficiency with software for work order management and record keeping.
