Job Description

Maintenance Technician Gallo Companies, a local builder, owner and manager of multi-family developments, is seeking a full-time maintenance technician to join our team. The Maintenance Tech's main responsibilities are to maintain the properties physical condition of the exterior and interior, as well as promoting resident satisfaction. Our maintenance team is customer service driven, so that they will create a lasting influence on visitors, prospects and residents. Job duties include but are not limited to:
  • General maintenance of units and grounds as directed, completing work orders thoroughly and answering emergency calls and on-call issues in a timely manner.
  • Prepares units needing rehab or maintenance work done to return them to rentable status.
  • Performs routine maintenance on vehicles and maintenance equipment, reporting problems or difficulties to the Site Manager.
  • Maintains grounds by removing litter, sweeping and blowing lots and sidewalks after trash collection, and weeding shrubbery beds and tree bases.
  • Assists in the removal of snow and ice from walkways and common areas, inspects work of 3rd party vendor.
  • Sweeps, mops, scrubs, and vacuums hallways or other common areas, stairs and office space.
  • Maintain inventory of equipment, tools and supplies.
  • Daily inspections of the property.
  • Supervise and inspect work of all sub-contractors utilized on property.
  • Assists with maintenance needs at other communities in the portfolio (local area) as needed and directed.
  • Provide professional and courteous resident relations.
Essential skills/requirements:
  • Ability to perform high level, quality work and is customer service oriented
  • Basic electrical and plumbing drywall repair, painting
  • Door, window, cabinet hardware repair replacement and appliance repair/replacement
  • Must be organized, reliable, self-motivated and courteous
  • Must be able to work as a team player
  • Ability to prioritize and perform multiple projects
  • Work well others
  • Maintain professional image
  • Yardi Mobile Maintenance experience preferred
Job Type:
Full-time M-F, 8:00-5:00, rotational on-call Competitive wages and benefits offered. Paid holidays, sick time and vacation time.
