Swartz Creek, Michigan, United States Talascend is currently seeking a Mobile Maintenance Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Swartz Creek, Michigan. Overview The maintenance technician supports operation, inspection, and maintenance processes for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and kitchen equipment and systems in assigned facilities. They assist in maintenance and repair efforts and perform defined tasks independently. Responsibilities Assist the operations team in the maintenance and repair of building and equipment
Kitchen equipment maintenance (meat grinder, cuber, meat saw, slicers, etc.)
Perform minor plumbing repairs
Maintain lighting system bulbs and ballasts
Complete fuel center UST inspections and dispenser maintenance
Be on call for after-hours emergencies
Comply with all safety procedures, maintain good housekeeping and safety of work areas
Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them
Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs
Document work performance and materials procurement as directed
Troubleshoot and maintain equipment such as scanners, printers, scales, networks, replacing drives in servers, and UPS equipment
Participate in on-call, after hour calls as needed Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalent
Candidate must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license
Completion of an applicable technical training program is desirable
Minimum of one (1) year of applicable working experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, and basic electrical
Ability to lift a minimum of 80 lbs., use ladders up to 30 ft, and possess mechanical and electrical aptitude
Must pass background, drug/alcohol, and MVR screening process Preferred Qualifications Ability to comply with both policies & procedures
