2nd Shift | 2:00 PM•10:30 PM At Oakwood Group , our Maintenance Technicians are the backbone of our operations. If you enjoy solving problems, working hands-on with industrial equipment, and keeping a fast-paced manufacturing environment running smoothly, this could be the role for you. What You'll Do As a Maintenance Technician, you'll keep our facility operating at peak performance by repairing, upgrading, and maintaining production equipment. You'll work closely with plant operations to prevent breakdowns and respond quickly when issues arise.Key responsibilities include:
Diagnosing, disassembling, repairing, and reassembling machinery and equipment Collaborating with maintenance teammates and production departments Performing preventive maintenance in line with company, OEM, and government standards Installing and evaluating new production equipment Reading and interpreting blueprints and prints Performing fabrication, welding, electrical, plumbing, pipefitting, pneumatic, and hydraulic work Troubleshooting stamping presses, mechanical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, lubrication systems, and single•and three-phase electrical systems, including PLC-related equipment Completing assurance checks and documenting equipment health Maintaining 5S standards and following all safety policies and procedures Demonstrating TOG's Core Values through teamwork, communication, and accountabilityWhat We're Looking For:
High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of 3 years of experience repairing manufacturing machinery Hands-on experience with pipefitting, welding, electrical, and hydraulic repairs Ability to read and understand blueprints Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Effective verbal and written communication skills Strong customer service orientation Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt in a changing environment Willingness to obtain and maintain required safety and equipment certifications Ability to perform the physical demands of the role, with or without reasonable accommodation Why Join Oakwood?
