Job Description

Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution Minimum of five (5) years of hands‑on experience in a mechanical or maintenance‑focused environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associates degree in a technical discipline or completion of a registered apprenticeship program Experience in maintenance, construction, HVAC, equipment installation, fabrication and welding, hydraulics and pneumatics, or plumbing and piping systems Good mechanical aptitude and blueprint reading capabilities Must be energetic and a self-starter, able to promote and implement change, have good PC skills, good telephone skills, strong organizational skills, and ability to promote a continuous improvement atmosphere Able to work in a self-directed or team environment and have good organizations skills Ability to work independently and with initiative This 3rd Shift Mechanical Technician position will be located at Howmet Whitehall Casting.
Primary responsibilities will include:
Assist Facility Engineers with completion of capital projects Install, move, or modify plant equipment Procurement of repair parts, spare parts, or raw materials as needed Update or create new schematics and drawings Provide technical assistance to maintenance staff for repairs and modifications Create and implement preventative maintenance and repair procedures
