WAGE & SCHEDULE DETAILS

$20.26+ per hour based on experience Full-Time Monday through Friday, year-round 7:00 a.m

• 4:00 p.

m. Possible scheduled weekend and evening hours throughout the school year.

IN THIS ROLE

The Maintenance Technician will support the safe, clean, and efficient operation of our facilities. Reporting to the Supervisor of Maintenance & Custodial Services, this role is ideal for someone who takes pride in hands-on work, problem-solving, and servicing a school community. This includes but is not limited to: Performing general maintenance and repair of buildings, fixtures, equipment, and systems (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, demolition, brick and block work, etc.). Assisting with preventative maintenance and troubleshooting across district facilities. Ensuring compliance with all safety standards, codes, rules, and regulations. Working with the district contracted HVAC specialists, will learn to independently repair and maintain all types of commercial air conditioning and refrigeration units, gas, hot water, and hot air heating systems, air handlers, ventilators, cooling coils, chiller units, and radiators, along with other mechanical heating and ventilating equipment. Operating snow removal equipment, including plow truck, snow blower, and occasional shoveling. Assisting in event setup, as needed. Assuring work areas are maintained, which may include emptying trash and cleaning equipment, as well as reading and following SDS sheets/labels. Ability to work overtime responding to emergencies, including after-hours and weekends as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU NEED

High school diploma or equivalent Experience in building maintenance or skilled trades (X years preferred) Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or carpentry Valid driver's license Ability to continuously stand/walk/bend/reach/stoop/kneel/crouch/lift, climb ladders, lift and transport heavy items up to 50 pounds, and properly operate tools/equipment necessary to perform required repairs.

PHYSICAL & WORKING CONDITIONS

Regular exposure to cleaning solutions and disinfectants as well as exposure to dust, dirt, tight spaces, offensive odors, dampness, hazards from electrical/mechanical/power equipment, adverse weather conditions, etc. when performing maintenance and repair work. Requires physical activity including lifting, climbing, bending, and working in indoor and outdoor environments in varying conditions.

WHAT YOU NEED

HVAC certification or willingness to obtain Experience in a school or commercial setting Boiler operation license
