In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation, safety, and maintenance of our facilities and equipment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical knowledge, troubleshoot complex systems, and lead maintenance efforts with enthusiasm and precision. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, refrigeration units, appliances, and other mechanical equipment to ensure peak performance. Diagnose and repair mechanical issues across a variety of systems, including air conditioning, refrigeration, and general building equipment. Read schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems effectively. Conduct appliance repairs and service tasks with attention to detail, ensuring safety standards are met at all times. Lead small maintenance projects or team efforts when necessary, demonstrating leadership qualities and initiative. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used for accountability and future reference. Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests to minimize downtime and disruption. Requirements Proven experience as a service technician or maintenance technician with a strong background in appliance repair, HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/ Refrigeration), or related fields. Mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret schematics, technical diagrams, and manuals. Hands-on experience with equipment repair, troubleshooting electrical systems, and performing preventative maintenance. Familiarity with construction practices or building systems is a plus. Strong leadership skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team under pressure. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to maintenance challenges. Valid certifications in HVAC/R or refrigeration are highly desirable; relevant licenses will be considered an asset.
