DoubleTree by Hilton Austin, MN Austin, MN | Full-Time | Temporary (Through June 2026) About the Role We are seeking a reliable and hands-on Maintenance Technician to support the overall upkeep and functionality of our hotel property. This is a temporary position expected to run through June 2026 , ideal for someone who enjoys project-based work and making an immediate impact. This role is essential in ensuring a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for our guests and team members. Compensation $17.00 - $24.00 per hour , based on experience Pay is negotiable depending on qualifications Key Responsibilities General Duties Ensure an excellent lodging experience for every guest Follow and complete all preventative maintenance programs and schedules Complete daily tasks from the Maintenance Checklist Respond to maintenance requests within 24 hours Handle maintenance emergencies as needed (on-call rotation required) Order and install small repair items under leadership direction Communicate larger repair needs to the Chief of Maintenance & General Manager Follow all safety guidelines (OSHA, chemical handling, etc.) Maintain professional appearance and wear provided uniform and name badge Support team operations as needed (including occasional guest assistance) Exterior & Grounds Empty trash and maintain property waste areas daily Clean sidewalks, stairs, parking lot, and landscaping areas Remove debris and maintain overall curb appeal Operate equipment such as blowers and pressure washers Interior & Guest Areas Perform preventative maintenance in guest rooms (approx. 2 rooms daily) Repair and maintain: Lighting and electrical systems Plumbing and HVAC systems Walls, ceilings, doors, and locks Appliances and furniture Flooring and carpets (including stain removal) Paint walls, ceilings, and trim as needed Clean and maintain facilities, vending areas, and common spaces (twice daily) Keep maintenance shop and storage areas clean and organized Skills & Qualifications Required General knowledge of PTAC, plumbing, and electrical systems Ability to use basic maintenance tools and equipment Experience with painting, patching, and minor repairs Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong teamwork and communication skills Reliable with a strong work ethic Preferred Previous experience in hotel, apartment, or facility maintenance Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to bend, kneel, and reach overhead Ability to climb stairs (up to 2 flights) Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions Schedule & Expectations Full-time position Temporary role ending June 2026 Must be available for on-call/emergency maintenance rotation Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed Why Join Us?
