Job Description
Overview We are seeking a proactive and skilled Hotel Maintenance Engineer to ensure the seamless operation and upkeep of our hotel facilities. This dynamic role involves maintaining a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for guests and staff alike. As a vital member of our team, you will be responsible for performing routine inspections, troubleshooting issues, and executing repairs across various systems and equipment. Your expertise will help uphold our commitment to excellence in guest experience and facility management, fostering a comfortable and well-maintained environment that exceeds expectations. Responsibilities Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities, including electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical equipment to identify potential issues before they escalate. Perform repairs and maintenance tasks utilizing skills in welding, electrical work, mechanical knowledge, and residential painting to ensure all systems operate efficiently. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and facility diagrams to accurately diagnose problems and implement solutions. Manage facilities maintenance requests using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), prioritizing tasks effectively to minimize downtime. Oversee small-scale projects such as installing or upgrading equipment, ensuring adherence to safety standards and technical specifications. Supervise maintenance staff or contractors when necessary, providing guidance on technical procedures and safety protocols. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and parts inventory for compliance and reporting purposes. Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and quality standards while promoting a culture of safety awareness among team members. Experience Proven experience in facilities maintenance within hospitality, manufacturing, or residential environments. Strong electrical experience with knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, and the use of tools such as ohmmeters for troubleshooting electrical circuits. Skilled in welding techniques and mechanical repairs, including residential painting and general handyman tasks. Familiarity with CMMS software for work order management and asset tracking. Supervising or leadership experience managing maintenance teams or contractors is highly desirable. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly in English with team members and vendors.
