Plant Technician/Maintenance Technician - Will Pay up to $50/hr. Full Benefits! Overview We are hiring a Plant Technician to support operations at a power generation facility in Shakopee, MN. This role involves operating engines, performing maintenance, and keeping equipment running safely and efficiently. Schedule 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week Start times between 5:30 AM - 10:30 AM End times up to 8:30 PM Rotating schedule Responsibilities Start, stop, and operate large natural gas engines Monitor equipment and report any issues Perform preventive and corrective maintenance Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems Use CMMS to track work orders and maintenance tasks Track parts and inventory Assist with repairs and equipment replacements Follow all safety and environmental guidelines Coordinate with team and dispatch to meet power demand Required Skills Strong mechanical aptitude Basic electrical troubleshooting skills Experience working with engines or industrial equipment Ability to use hand tools and read technical instructions Team-oriented with good communication skills Preferred Experience Diesel mechanic, maintenance technician, or similar Experience Experience in industrial, plant, or power generation environments Familiarity with CMMS systems Welding experience is a plus Work Environment Climate-controlled facility (warmer near equipment) Hands-on work with engines and plant systems Must remain on-site during shift, including downtime Apply Now!
