Facilities Technician - Burnsville

As a Facilities Technician, you will perform manual and semi-skilled work involving the care, maintenance, cleaning, and operation of City buildings and grounds, helping ensure safe, welcoming, and well-maintained facilities for the community. This position is regularly scheduled Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. It also includes seasonal and operational on-call responsibilities such as snow removal, weather-related response, flag lowering, and other facility needs. Flexibility is required for early mornings, evenings, weekends, on-call assignments, and other adjusted schedules based on operational needs. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, three years of building maintenance experience, a valid driver's license (or ability to obtain in Minnesota), and a Special Boiler's License (or ability to obtain within nine months). Local government experience preferred. The Facilities Technician supports high-quality customer service, routine custodial duties, facility setup, maintenance, and building system operations.
