Federal Package is a contract manufacturer and packaging company that primarily serves the health, beauty, and personal care industries. The company works with a wide range of consumer products including lip balms, deodorants, sunscreen sticks, anti-chafe products, lotions, and other skincare items.
What You'll Be Doing:
Troubleshoot, repair, and install mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems including motors, gearboxes, servo drives, PLCs, sensors, and compressors.
Perform equipment maintenance, fabrication, welding, and basic machining using hand and power tools.
Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation to diagnose and resolve issues.
Train operators on basic machine maintenance and proper equipment use.
Follow safety procedures, standard work protocols, and communicate maintenance status with management while working independently.
What makes you a great fit:
High school diploma or equivalent with 2+ years of experience troubleshooting mechanical and electrical equipment; strong mechanical/electrical aptitude required.
Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, organization, and communication skills, with attention to detail and basic computer/MS Office proficiency.
Ability to lift up to 80 lbs., adapt to changing priorities, support continuous improvement initiatives, and work overtime as needed, including occasional Saturdays.
Preferred:
Vocational/technical certification (automation, robotics, or mechatronics), experience with automation, controls, PLCs, and manufacturing—ideally in an FDA-regulated environment.
