Industrial Maintenance Technician Hill Wood Products, Inc.
Location:
Cook, MN Join a Team That Keeps Manufacturing Moving Hill Wood Products, Inc. is seeking a motivated and dependable Industrial Maintenance Technician to support our manufacturing operations in Cook, Minnesota, and provide part-time maintenance support at our biomass facility located in Mountain Iron, MN. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting equipment, working with their hands, and taking pride in maintaining safe, efficient operations. The successful candidate will perform a variety of maintenance and repair tasks on industrial equipment, buildings, and support systems. Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment and facility systems. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment. Inspect machinery and facilities to identify potential issues before they cause downtime. Repair and maintain conveyors, motors, gearboxes, pumps, fans, bearings, and material handling equipment. Complete building maintenance tasks including doors, lighting, plumbing, heating systems, and general repairs. Support maintenance activities at the Minntac Biomass Facility as needed. Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders. Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and facility improvement projects. Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with company policies and applicable regulations. Coordinate with production personnel to minimize operational disruptions. Qualifications Preferred Experience Industrial maintenance, millwright, mechanical maintenance, or related experience. Experience troubleshooting production equipment in a manufacturing environment. Boiler License or willingness to acquire. Basic electrical troubleshooting skills. Welding and fabrication experience is highly desirable. Experience operating forklifts, skid steers, or similar equipment is a plus. Skills & Abilities Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, diagrams, and technical documents. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly. Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, bend, and work in industrial environments. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
