MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A combination of training and experience substantially equivalent to the following: High school diploma or equivalent. One year of experience working for a public or private utility company, public works utility division, or related field. Valid Class B driver's license including tanker and air brake endorsement, or ability to obtain within six months. Valid Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) Class D Water Certificate and Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) Class S-D Operator Certificate upon appointment or must obtain within one year of appointment.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience operating utility maintenance and repair equipment and machinery, including heavy equipment (skid loader, vactor truck, etc.). Experience repairing components of water and sanitary sewer systems, including lift stations, pumps, meters/valves, and distribution piping. Working knowledge of SCADA, GIS, CityWorks and other computer software programs (word processing and spreadsheets). Three years' experience working for a public or private utility company, public works utility division, or related field. Technical degree or certificate in related field. Valid Class "C" Water and "S-C" operator certificates. NASSCO certification and/or PACP training related to the use of CCTV televising equipment.PHYSICAL DEMANDS
