Job Description

Quanex is looking for a Maintenance Technician II•Day Shift to join our team in Foreston, Minnesota . In this role, you are responsible for performing skilled maintenance and repair work on production equipment and facilities to ensure optimal performance and functionality. This position will require knowledge in hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, and industrial mechanics.

What Success Looks Like:
Have a safety-first mindset. Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment. Maintain and order inventory of spare parts and equipment. Train and mentor junior operators. Perform preventive maintenances tasks to prevent breakdowns and major overhauls. Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus, but not required. Assist in the selection, installation, start-up of new equipment and systems.
What You Bring:
2 year degree in Industrial Maintenance or similar. 5+ years of Industrial, hands-on maintenance experience preferred. Strong mechanical ability and electrical systems knowledge. Strong communication skills, a team player, approachability, and eagerness to learn. Experience with low pressure steam systems preferred. Has a Boiler License or is willing to obtain.
