Job Title:
Maintenance Technician Job Description This role supports multiple manufacturing sites by maintaining and repairing over 60 injection mold presses and related equipment. The Maintenance Technician proactively troubleshoots and resolves electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical issues to keep production running safely and efficiently across two nearby campuses. Responsibilities Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair injection mold presses and associated production equipment across multiple manufacturing buildings. Diagnose and resolve issues involving electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems to minimize downtime. Repair and replace valves, including components within hydraulic and pneumatic systems, to restore proper equipment function. Work with 3-phase electrical systems, including diagnosing faults and performing safe, compliant repairs. Replace circuit breakers, motors, and other electrical and mechanical components as needed. Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines and facility systems to reduce unplanned breakdowns. Conduct PLC troubleshooting to identify control system faults and support process reliability. Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical diagrams to plan and execute repairs accurately. Support facility maintenance tasks, including HVAC-related work, to ensure a safe and comfortable working environment. Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage in accordance with site procedures. Collaborate with production and other maintenance team members to prioritize work and coordinate equipment downtime. Travel between campuses as needed to support maintenance needs while maintaining consistent communication with site leadership. Essential Skills At least 3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Hands-on experience with at least three of the following: PLC troubleshooting, electrical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics. Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing 3-phase electrical systems, including safe replacement of circuit breakers and motors. Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including valve repair and replacement. Ability to perform preventive maintenance on production equipment and facility systems. Demonstrated skill in reading and interpreting blueprints and electrical/mechanical schematics (required). Experience working with injection mold equipment or similar complex machinery. Strong troubleshooting skills for electrical, mechanical, and control system issues. Ability to perform facility maintenance tasks, including basic HVAC-related work. Capability to travel between nearby campuses and support multiple buildings as needed. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with PLC troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment. Experience in facility maintenance supporting production operations. Familiarity with HVAC systems in an industrial or manufacturing setting. Comfort working independently across multiple sites while managing priorities. Strong communication skills to coordinate with production, engineering, and other maintenance personnel. Why Work Here? The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, typically starting between 6:00-7:00 AM and ending between 2:30-3:30 PM, offering consistent daytime hours. Work involves moving between buildings and campuses as needed to address maintenance needs, using provided tools and equipment in an industrial setting. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Blaine, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $76960.00/yr.
