Position Summary The position of Senior Maintenance Technician is a hands-on position, that provides technical expertise and oversees and participates in the maintenance, repair, and improvement of facility equipment in a validated cGMP environment. This equipment includes machinery, buildings, computer systems, control systems, safety and security systems (hereinafter referred to as Equipment). He/She is also responsible for multiple highly complex major projects and processes requiring innovative original solutions. Additionally, this position includes responsibility for maintaining shop tools, inventory, and keeping the department's CMMS (computerized maintenance management system) updated. The position must be proficient in the requirements of the Technician Maintenance and Project Technician positions and may be required to provide training to the technicians in these roles. The position should support management including providing guidance to other maintenance staff and help promote a Lean team environment. This position will also be required to support after hours emergency response activities on an as needed basis. Depending on the modality in which this role operates (i.e. Gamma), this is a physical role- requiring strength and endurance.

The Experience, Skills, and Abilities Needed Required:
High School Diploma or G.E.D. with 9 years of exeperience or an associate degree with 5 years of experience. Must be clean shaven to wear proper PPE. Requires ability to read, interpret and practically apply electrical ladder diagrams and mechanical blueprints. Requires working knowledge of PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) or other types of process control equipment. Requires computer skills and word processing, spreadsheet and software capabilities. Above average organizing, analyzing and a minimum of Level 3 math skills (ratios, proportions, basic algebra) to determine organizational Customer and regulatory problems to formulate corrective action plans. Ability to lift up to 50lbs. Ability to meet physical requirements of position, including physical capacity evaluation testing and annual physical, as appropriate. Ability to successfully complete Operator training (classroom and hands-on) to become certified Operator and successfully pass Operator re-certification test annually. If required by the specific modality, this role is subject to passing Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) required background check. Must be willing to assist with other shifts/coverage. Ability to work in confined spaces.Preferred:

Requires ability to effectively read, write and verbally communicate in English. Requires ability to work independently under general guidelines and supervision. Requires effective interpersonal skills as demonstrated through prior experience. Able to adapt to changing duties and responsibilities.
