Chief Engineer Maintenance

Job Requirements:

High school diploma or related vocational training is required. Must have 2-5 of general building maintenance and repair experience, preferably hotel. Ability to lead team and complete projects Strong interpersonal skills are a must. Basic reading, writing and math skills. Ability to speak Spanish is desired (not required). Requires the ability to work nights, weekends and/or holidays.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Regular and punctual attendance.

Ability to perform the following:

carrying, lifting, pushing and/or pulling items from 100-300lbs. Ability to move about the facility frequently, kneeling, bending, stopping, crawling and walking. Complete work orders such as replacing ceiling tiles, filters, light bulbs, patching vinyl, painting, repairs to pipe lines, toilets, sinks, kitchen and laundry equipment etc. Ensure that assigned equipment is prepared and operation for the following day's work. Maintain basic upkeep of rooms, common areas by ensuring all furniture, appliances and electrical equipment such as televisions and refrigerators, and light fixtures are in working order. Repair and/or replace HVAC systems such as individual air conditioning units as needed. Clean and maintain the hotel's exterior spaces such as the parking lot, swimming pool, landscaping etc. Assists other maintenance employees as needed. Properly secures all tools, equipment and supplies after use. Ability to sustain direct eye contact with the public; must establish high degree of customer service (smile, eye contact, positive personal presentation etc.) Ability to abide by Grooming and Uniform Standards. To perform any other tasks as assigned by management. Ability to work in extreme temperatures. Reports any major repair issues or requests to the General Manager.
