Job Summary:

The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for conducting preventive and repair maintenance on the plant as well as equipment.

Job Duties:

Conducts preventive maintenance as scheduled, e.g. oil change, greasing, filters, chain tension, etc. Performs repairs on machines and equipment as assigned, i.e. replacing blades, switches, etc. Performs basic electrical, electronic, plumbing, and hydraulic repairs. Shovels snow and operates skid loader for snow removal. Performs ground work as needed. Assists with installation of new equipment. Welds and cuts using wire feed, oxygen-acetylene torch as well as plasma. Maintains the work area, machinery, and tools in a neat, clean, safe and orderly fashion. Always adheres to safety standards. Provides tools as required on tool listing. Maintains forklift certification and valid MN Driver's License. Makes repairs at apartments and fitness center.
