Job Description

Join our team!! Northern Metal Products is seeking a 2nd shift Maintenance Technician - Manufacturing. Northern Metal Products is a manufacturer of custom solutions for both the Retail and OEM industries. Founded in 1959, NMP is a private, financially sound, and growing company with diverse capabilities fabricating wire, sheet metal, tubing, and wood.
Responsibilities:
Safely and efficiently operate forklifts, man lifts and floor scrubbing equipment. Perform preventative maintenance on all shop equipment, along with basic upkeep of entire facility. Perform basic troubleshooting and repair of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical malfunctions. Respond to maintenance work orders, and correct/repair requests. Process material requisitions to order necessary part/equipment/service. Maintain service parts inventory as needed to minimize downtown associated with machines and equipment. Log tasks; fill out paperwork and necessary forms accurately, neatly, and to completion.
Requirements:
Computer literate and familiar with Excel, Word, and the Internet. General mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical knowledge.
Desired Qualifications:
Read and understand electrical and mechanical blueprints. Familiar with the maintenance of industrial equipment. Including electrical, electronic and mechanical knowledge.
Required Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Must have 1+ years related experience. This position is on 2nd shift. Work schedule options are Monday-Thursday; 3:30pm - 2:00am or Monday-Friday; 3:30pm - 12:00am. We offer competitive pay and excellent benefits. Quarterly and annual bonus opportunity!
