As Maintenance Engineer you will ensure all aspects of Hotel maintenance are kept to the very best of standards and in line with all relevant health and safety regulations and procedures. This position will support the general maintenance of the hotel.
Areas of responsibility include:
preventive maintenance, resolving general maintenance issues - electrical, plumbing, doors, locks, flooring, pool, heating / cooling units, and other general upkeep.
Other duties consist of:
Responding to both customer and hotel staff reports of non-functioning equipment immediately. Maintaining rooms in operating condition by performing repairs as needed. Replacing or repairing appliances and damaged bathroom and guestroom fixtures; execute general plumbing and electrical repairs as needed. Repairing and maintaining rooms' heating/ventilating/air conditioning systems. Clean and maintain pools and spas using chemicals to meet State code. Performing preventative maintenance throughout the hotel. Maintaining the condition of hotel lobbies and meeting spaces. Maintaining operating equipment in working condition by performing routine equipment checks and repairs. Cleaning and maintaining engineering/storage areas. Creating 100% guest satisfaction by providing the service brand behavior, genuine hospitality and by exceeding guest expectations
Position Requirements:
One to three years of general maintenance experience, preferably in hospitality but not necessary. Knowledge of building management and engineering. Strong customer service acumen. Ability to collaborate effectively with other departments. Certification in pool maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, and/or electrical is a plus but not necessary.
