Job description: Join a growing organization in Food Manufacturing We're seeking a Maintenance Technician to support maintenance operations within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on maintenance professional with strong troubleshooting ability across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, HVAC, boiler, and production equipment systems. About the Role In this key technical position, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, installing, setting up, maintaining, repairing, and upgrading production lines and facility equipment. You'll support both day-to-day maintenance activity and larger-scale production, building upgrade, and changeover projects, while working closely with production teams, management, and outside vendors where required. What You'll Do
  • Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and install production equipment and facility systems
  • Assemble and disassemble mixing, heating, extrusion, and related processing equipment
  • Perform mechanical repairs on gears, bearings, drives, gearboxes, and related components
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems including high and low voltage AC/DC motors, sensors, PLCs, actuators, power supplies, transformers, and heating/cooling controls
  • Maintain and repair pneumatic systems including compressors, logic circuits, actuators, and sensors
  • Perform preventive inspections, lubrication, routine maintenance, and emergency repairs on production equipment and HVAC systems
  • Support maintenance, inspection, testing, and operation of steam boilers and related equipment
  • Perform welding, fabrication, and basic machining to repair or modify equipment and parts
  • Assist with equipment design, specification, procurement, installation, and upgrades
  • Support inventory management of maintenance supplies, materials, parts, and tools
  • Partner with outside vendors when required to complete maintenance, repair, or project work
  • Coach and train production operators on basic equipment maintenance and care
  • Follow work orders, standard work procedures, WIPs, safety protocols, and maintenance documentation requirements
  • Communicate maintenance project status, equipment issues, and repair updates to department leads and management
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Work independently with minimal supervision while supporting the wider team

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience or equivalent technical experience
  • Two-year technical degree or formal maintenance training preferred
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and facility maintenance knowledge
  • Electrical experience with high and low voltage AC/DC systems
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, specifications, procedure manuals, and work instructions
  • Proficient use of hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment
  • Experience with pipe threading, TIG welding, fabrication, and basic machining preferred
  • Forklift experience required, including stand-up and sit-down forklifts
  • Boiler license preferred, or willingness and ability to obtain required boiler licensing
  • Experience using maintenance or asset management software such as FIIX, MP2, or similar CMMS platforms
  • Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in an FDA-regulated or food manufacturing environment preferred Additional Preferred Experience

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling, climbing, and sweeping
  • Ability to repetitively grasp objects and use fine manipulation dexterity
  • Ability to use hands together and separately at all working levels, from ankle height to above head
  • Ability to use both feet together, separately, and repetitively to operate equipment
  • Must have close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception
