Assembly Maintenance Technician Job Description Join our team as an Assembly Maintenance Technician in a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for individuals looking to build foundational maintenance skills under the guidance of seasoned professionals. Responsibilities Execute assigned preventive maintenance routes, performing routine inspections and basic component replacements. Assist senior technicians in diagnosing and repairing equipment breakdowns, gradually taking on independent repairs. Actively participate in the Apprenticeship Program with structured on-the-job training across various maintenance categories. Support Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and Daily Total Maintenance (DTM) activities, assisting operators with equipment standards. Manage parts inventory, ensuring critical spares are identified and available for assigned equipment. Develop proficiency in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), accurately completing work orders and maintaining data accuracy. Uphold safety and housekeeping standards, completing all required safety training and maintaining a clean work area. Essential Skills Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in bearings, seals, chain drives, and conveyor systems. Basic electrical knowledge, including safety protocols, multimeter use, and sensor replacement. Understanding of pneumatic systems, including air preparation units and solenoid valves. Proficiency with diagnostic tools such as multimeters, tachometers, and pressure gauges. Ability to use CMMS platforms for maintenance scheduling and asset management. High school diploma or GED with 5-10 years of industrial maintenance experience. Additional Skills & Qualifications Associate's degree or technical certificate in Industrial Maintenance or related field preferred. Basic welding skills (MIG or stick) are an advantage. Strong commitment to completing the 8,000-hour Apprenticeship Program. Willingness to work any shift in a 24/7 manufacturing environment. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment is very high-tech and fast-paced, with a team of over 40 maintenance technicians. Shifts are available across all hours, with specific shift differentials for 2nd, 3rd, and weekend shifts. Training may occur on any shift initially, with flexibility in scheduling. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Grandview, MO.
