Maintenance Technician - Injection Molding & Automation Position Summary UbeCube is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support our growing injection molding and assembly operation. This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and improving production equipment, utilities, automation systems, and manufacturing infrastructure. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver with strong electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and automation skills who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Equipment Maintenance & Repair Troubleshoot and repair injection molding machines and supporting equipment. Perform and document preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, utilities, and facility systems. Diagnose electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical issues. Perform predictive and corrective maintenance as required. Install, move, and commission manufacturing equipment. Maintain chillers, dryers, compressors, material handling systems, and plant utilities. Support startup, shutdown, and changeover activities. Respond to equipment breakdowns and minimize production downtime. Automation & Robotics Set up, troubleshoot, and maintain robotic systems. Install and support end-of-arm tooling (EOAT). Diagnose automation, sensor, and control system issues. Support conveyors, assembly equipment, and secondary automation systems. Assist with machine integration and process improvement projects. Tooling & Manufacturing Support Assist with mold installation, setup, and troubleshooting. Support injection mold maintenance and minor mold repairs. Work closely with production and process teams to maximize equipment uptime. Coordinate with toolmakers and outside service providers when required. Facility & Infrastructure Support Maintain electrical, plumbing, compressed air, and facility systems. Assist with equipment power drops, utility connections, and machine relocations. Operate forklifts, lifts, and other equipment safely. Support facility upgrades and equipment improvement projects. Additional Responsibilities Follow all safety procedures, maintenance standards, and company policies. Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and service documentation. Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability, uptime, and manufacturing efficiency. Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager. Required Skills & Qualifications Strong Experience In Electrical troubleshooting and repair Hydraulics and pneumatics Industrial machinery maintenance Heavy equipment repair Machine controls and programming Industrial automation systems Reading electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical schematics Root cause analysis and troubleshooting Preferred Experience Injection molding machine maintenance Injection mold setup and repair Mold tooling maintenance CNC machining, manual machining, welding, or fabrication Robotics and automation systems PLC troubleshooting and programming Material handling equipment Experience Requirements 7-10 years of industrial maintenance experience preferred. Equivalent experience and demonstrated technical ability will be considered. Experience repairing and maintaining manufacturing equipment in a production environment. Experience installing, setting up, and powering industrial equipment. Experience supporting robotic systems and end-of-arm tooling. Experience troubleshooting automation equipment and machine controls. Injection molding manufacturing experience strongly preferred. Education Technical degree, trade school certification, apprenticeship, or equivalent hands-on experience preferred. Relevant certifications in electrical systems, automation, hydraulics, pneumatics, or industrial maintenance are a plus.
