Job Description

Maintenance Technician Pay Rate - $36/hr. (1st and 3rd shift)  Job Description As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, or instrumental issues within our facilities. You will perform essential maintenance duties, including adjustments, parts replacement, lubrication, and tear-downs, to ensure optimal equipment performance. Your expertise will be vital in fabricating and constructing new and existing facility components, working across various disciplines such as mechanical, masonry, carpentry, and electrical. This position demands a proactive approach to preventive and predictive maintenance, ensuring the longevity and efficiency of our equipment. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, or instrumental problems. Use equipment such as welders, acetylene torches, power tools, and hand tools for repairs. Fabricate and construct components for facilities, including working from ladders and scaffolding. Perform preventive and predictive maintenance duties including equipment checking and fluid analysis. Work from work orders, piping schematics, and engineering drawings. Maintain records on spare parts inventories and assist in procurement. Clean and sanitize equipment to meet plant standards. Act according to instructions from the Maintenance Supervisor or other management. Notify appropriate personnel during emergency conditions. Assist in training new personnel. Prepare records of activities, indicating repairs made and parts used. Use Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) to track and complete work orders. Essential Skills Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues. Experience in maintenance within a food or beverage manufacturing environment. Comfortable using Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS). Additional Skills & Qualifications Minimum three (3) years of maintenance experience. Experience in fabrication and construction across various trades. Ability to work with minimal supervision and follow safety protocols. Any HVAC experience is a plus. Why Work Here? Work Environment Maintenance Mechanics will work with equipment handling acids and high temperatures, requiring PPE such as face shields, safety glasses, and gloves. Familiarity with vessel entry, pipe opening, and lockout procedures is necessary. The role involves physical activities such as sitting, standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds. You will report to the Production Supervisor in the absence of the Maintenance Supervisor, primarily during evening and midnight shifts. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grandview, MO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $36.00/hr.
