$19.00-$23.00 per hour (based on experience) Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to join our multifamily apartment community in New Albany, Indiana. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in apartment maintenance, unit turns, and general repairs, along with HVAC knowledge and troubleshooting experience. This role is responsible for maintaining the property, preparing vacant units for new residents, and providing excellent customer service to residents. Responsibilities Perform general maintenance and repair work throughout the community, including plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, carpentry, and appliance repairs. Complete apartment make-readies (unit turns) efficiently and to company standards. Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC systems; perform routine maintenance and minor repairs. Respond to resident service requests in a timely and professional manner. Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and maintain property appearance. Assist with grounds maintenance and community upkeep as needed. Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergency maintenance requests. Follow all safety policies and procedures. Qualifications Previous experience in multifamily apartment maintenance required. Experience with unit turns/make-readies required. HVAC experience required; EPA certification preferred. Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, drywall, painting, and carpentry. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including climbing, bending, and standing for extended periods.
