Maintenance Technician

Job Title:

Maintenance Technician Job Description As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing scheduled preventative maintenance on recycling equipment such as balers, conveyors, shredders, sorting screens, optical sorters, eddy currents, and roll stock machinery. You will inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, while also conducting minor repairs and adjustments to minimize downtime and extend equipment life. Responsibilities Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on recycling equipment. Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems. Conduct minor repairs and adjustments to equipment. Collaborate with operations staff to identify equipment issues and recommend preventative solutions. Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and PLC instructions. Support installation and setup of new equipment. Coordinate with vendors on maintenance schedules. Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement. Work Environment Work in a challenging yet rewarding environment that can be hot, cold, and very dirty. Be prepared for third shift hours from 9pm to 5am or second shift from 4pm to 12:30am. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hazelwood, MO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
