Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Live-in Caretaker to provide comprehensive residential maintenance and support within a private property setting. Duties Perform routine facilities maintenance including plumbing, electrical repairs, and general handyman tasks using schematics and technical manuals. Operate and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to manage building systems such as HVAC, lighting, and security. Conduct residential painting, welding, and other mechanical tasks to keep the property in top condition. Manage preventative maintenance schedules using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders and repairs. Supervise external contractors or service providers during maintenance or renovation projects ensuring quality standards are met. Oversee safety protocols by inspecting electrical systems with tools like ohmmeters and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Provide excellent customer service by addressing residents' needs promptly while maintaining a welcoming environment. Lead small teams or coordinate with other staff members to ensure efficient facilities operations. Qualifications Proven experience in facilities maintenance, manufacturing, or related technical fields with knowledge of schematics and mechanical systems. Strong electrical experience including troubleshooting with tools such as ohmmeters and understanding of programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Skilled in welding, residential painting, and general handyman tasks with attention to detail. Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance tracking and management. Excellent communication skills in English for clear instructions and reporting. Supervising experience or leadership qualities to oversee contractors or team members effectively. Mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to read schematics and technical diagrams. Customer service orientation with a proactive attitude toward problem-solving and resident satisfaction.
