Garage Door Technician Assistant

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated, reliable and mechanically inclined Garage Door Technician Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will support experienced technicians in installing, repairing, and maintaining garage doors and related systems. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the garage door industry as well as mechanical and light electrical work. This position has the potential to turn into a full time position. Duties Assist with the installation of garage doors, including hanging doors, garage door operators and programming. Support to modify or repair door components using hand tools and power tools. Perform heavy lifting to move doors, hardware, and materials safely on construction sites or job locations. Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices to ensure precise installation and alignment of door systems. Working on ladders and not afraid of heights. Help with electrical wiring, operator installation, and other mechanical components of garage doors. Skills Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and basic fabrication equipment. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper technique. Basic electrical experience related to garage door openers or lock systems.
