Maintain awareness of and compliance with all USDA and other regulatory requirements. Safety and Compliance Consistently follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area. Properly use and maintain required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Comply with OSHA and other workplace safety regulations. Operate machinery safely and correctly as instructed. Production and Efficiency Perform all pre-production set-up activities in a timely and efficient manner Perform basic equipment operation as trained. Perform basic preventive maintenance tasks and routine equipment checks under supervision. Assist with basic electrical testing and identification of simple circuits using an electrical meter. Support welding and fabrication work by completing prep tasks such as cleaning, grinding, deburring, measuring, and material handling in accordance with food-safe practices. Read and reference basic technical documents, including equipment manuals, lubrication charts, and component labels, with guidance. Assist with simple equipment diagnostics and repairs by identifying key components and following instructions from supervisors or senior technicians. Responsible for independently logging into Redzone & completing compliance trainings by due dates & using chat feature. Work collaboratively with team members to support production goals by following company policies and procedures. Maintain awareness of production schedule Practice cost awareness by using materials efficiently and minimizing waste. Communication and Teamwork Communicate proactively with the Supervisor regarding issues that they might encounter. Use the CMMS accurately and on time to enter work order details and review asset history, parts inventory, and preventive maintenance schedules. Participate in training and continuing education opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills Enter basic work order details and task information into the CMMS accurately and on time. Communicate job status, issues, and support needs clearly with team members, supervisors, and operations personnel. Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency, attention to detail, and commitment to maintaining high morale. Take ownership for individual job duties and performance.
Competencies Electrical:
Able to identify and test circuit using electrical meter
Welding & Fabrication:
Able to assists with welding and fabrication tasks under close supervision. Understands basic food-safety and sanitary design principles. Performs prep work such as cleaning, grinding, deburring, measuring, and material handling using food-grade practices. No independent welding on food-contact or critical components. Can recognize and reference basic technical documents such as equipment manuals, lubrication charts, and simple component labels with guidance.
Diagnostics and Repair:
Recognizes key components. Can follow instructions for simple tasks with supervision. Limited troubleshooting ability.
Analytical Skills:
Able to log work orders, enter basic information (e.g., task completed, time taken), and navigate CMMS with assistance. Limited understanding of how data is used.
Coaching:
Receptive to feedback and coaching from supervisors and Operations.
Communication:
Communicates clearly with team members.
Customer Service:
Punctual, dependable, helpful and positive attitude

Safety:
Follows safety protocols consistently. Education and Experience Required High school diploma or GED Associate degree or technical diploma in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or similar field in progress or 0-2 years of relevant experience
LOTO & GMPS, ARC
Flash OSHA-10 Certification Foreign Material Prevention Training Preferred Associates' Degree or Certification from Technical College preferred, or combination of education and work experience.
Work Environment and Physical Demands Stand:
Must be able to remain standing 75% of the time
Walk:
Needs to occasionally move about inside the facilities to inspect products Exposure to work: Constantly works in cool, 45-degree rooms, and damp conditions; occasionally works in temperature range of•5 to 100 degree internally and externally Carry weight, lift: Occasionally lifts tools and equipment weighing up to 80 pounds Twisting, turning and bending: Moves production tools and equipment weighing up to 80 pounds around production facility Use hands/fingers to handle or feel: Constantly inspects, repairs, removes and replaces machinery and other production equipment Climb or balance: Occasionally ascends/descends stairs and ladders to access and work on machinery and equipment Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl: Constantly positions self to inspect materials and quality processes
Talk/hear:
Frequently communicates with co-workers and supervisor(s) regarding maintenance needs and projects; must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
See:
Must be able to identify defects and inspect machinery and equipment
Smell:
Able to detect ammonia The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the completion of assigned maintenance projects in a safe and timely manner. Coordination with production schedules and department Supervisors is required. Must be able to work independently with little supervision or as part of a team of Technicians.
