Full Job Description Hours:
Monday-Friday Pay Rate- $22-$24.71 Make a Real Impact Across Our School Community Are you a hands-on problem solver who takes pride in keeping buildings safe, functional, and running smoothly? We're looking for a highly skilled Plumber who goes beyond pipes—someone who can tackle HVAC basics and jump into general facility repairs when needed. In this critical role, you'll help maintain comfortable, safe environments for students and staff across all school facilities. Reporting to:
Facilities Coordinator What You'll Do Plumbing Expertise (Primary Focus) Diagnose, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including water supply, drainage, venting, fixtures, and piping (commercial & residential) Quickly respond to work orders and urgent plumbing issues Identify and resolve leaks, clogs, and system failures Perform preventative maintenance and inspections to ensure code compliance ️ HVAC Support (Basic Level) Troubleshoot and maintain HVAC components such as thermostats, filters, exhaust fans, and ventilation systems Monitor system performance using diagnostic tools and (ideally) Building Automation Systems (BAS)
General Facilities Maintenance Carpentry:
Repair doors, walls, ceilings, cabinetry, and fixtures
Electrical:
Replace outlets, switches, lighting; troubleshoot minor issues Plumbing (support tasks): Repair faucets, toilets, valves, and drainage components ️ Operations & Collaboration Use specialized tools and equipment to diagnose issues efficiently Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal teams Track and document all maintenance and repair activities Manage tools, materials, and parts inventory What You Bring 5+ years of hands-on plumbing experience in commercial or institutional environments (schools, offices, etc.) Working knowledge of basic HVAC systems and troubleshooting Ability to handle multi-trade maintenance (carpentry, electrical, plumbing) Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills Familiarity with plumbing codes, HVAC systems, and BAS (preferred) Experience using CMMS systems to manage work orders (a plus) Physical & Work Requirements Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces Able to lift up to 100 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks Capable of working in varying temperatures and conditions Skilled in safely operating hand and power tools Education & Certifications High school diploma or equivalent (technical/trade school preferred) Valid plumbing license or certification (preferred) Additional certifications in HVAC, electrical, or carpentry are a plus Why Join Us? ✅ Meaningful work supporting school communities ✅ Variety in your day—no two days are the same ✅ Collaborative, team-focused environment ✅ Opportunity to utilize and grow multiple skillsets Ready to put your skills to work where they truly matter?
