Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic facilities team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation and maintenance of building systems, appliances, and equipment. Your expertise will help maintain a safe, efficient, and comfortable environment for all occupants. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, hands-on experience with appliance repair, HVAC/R systems, and equipment troubleshooting. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC/R systems, refrigeration units, and air conditioning equipment to ensure optimal performance. Diagnose and repair mechanical issues across various appliances and building systems using schematics and technical manuals. Conduct electrical and mechanical troubleshooting to identify faults and implement effective solutions. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and system performance for compliance and reporting purposes. Assist with construction projects or upgrades by providing technical support and ensuring adherence to safety standards. Lead or support team efforts in equipment repair, installation, or replacement tasks as needed. Follow safety protocols diligently during all maintenance activities to promote a secure work environment. Collaborate with other service technicians and facilities staff to coordinate repairs and maintenance schedules efficiently. Experience Proven service technician experience with appliances, HVAC/R systems, refrigeration, or related mechanical equipment. Strong understanding of schematics, technical diagrams, and system manuals for troubleshooting purposes. Knowledge of HVAC systems—including air conditioning units, refrigeration systems, and ventilation—preferably with relevant certifications. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform complex repairs on various equipment types. Experience in construction or facility maintenance is advantageous. Demonstrated leadership skills or experience supervising maintenance tasks is a plus. Familiarity with safety standards related to electrical work, HVAC/R systems, and general building maintenance.
