Hotel Maintenance Engineer

Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and skilled Hotel Maintenance Engineer to ensure the seamless operation and upkeep of our hotel facilities. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC (heating, ventilation, air conditioning), and other building systems to ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoot and repair issues related to electrical systems, including wiring, circuit breakers, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and schematics. Conduct welding, residential painting, and other mechanical repairs as needed to maintain facility standards. Use tools such as ohmmeters and schematics to diagnose faults accurately and efficiently. Oversee facilities maintenance tasks with attention to safety protocols, including supervising team members when necessary. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Assist with supervising external contractors for specialized repairs or installations while ensuring quality standards are met. Lead small teams in facilities maintenance projects, demonstrating leadership and customer service skills to ensure timely completion. Support manufacturing or other operational areas within the hotel environment by providing technical assistance when required. Experience Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a similar role within hospitality, manufacturing, or residential settings. Strong electrical experience with knowledge of schematics and electrical systems troubleshooting. Mechanical knowledge complemented by hands-on skills in welding and residential painting. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and use of tools such as ohmmeters for diagnostics. Supervising experience in maintenance or facilities management is highly desirable. Ability to read technical schematics and interpret mechanical or electrical diagrams accurately. Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and team coordination. Prior experience using CMMS software for maintenance tracking is preferred.
