- Contract Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Head Floor Technician to lead our cleaning and maintenance team in delivering exceptional floorwork services across our facilities throughout Mississippi, and Alabama if you need more work.
This pivotal role involves overseeing daily floor care operations, ensuring pristine cleanliness, and maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency. As a lead Floor Tech You will be responsible for maintain all floor work for facilities upon due dates. This is an ongoing position for a subcontractor or individual with references, and the skills to perform professional services. We are seeking someone to foster a long term relation with whom we can trust to handle the demands of our company. Duties Supervise and coordinate all floor care activities, including sweeping, mopping, buffing, carpet cleaning, and waxing to maintain spotless floors. Oversee carpet cleaning procedures using appropriate equipment and solutions to prolong carpet life and enhance appearance. Implement and monitor cleaning schedules, ensuring all areas meet health and safety standards consistently. Must understand how to maintain, and operate equipment, safety protocols, and possess environmentally friendly practices. We provide all chemicals needed to perform the duties. Must be skilled in removing/stripping old layers of wax, dirt, and scuff marks using specialized chemical strippers, then applying new coats of wax. Must have your own equipment, or we can provide with certain limitations. Skills Extensive experience in commercial cleaning, custodial work, or environmental services with a focus on floor care. If you have have completed vocational floor work training, or have attended professional custodial training programs or perhaps may be certified that is a plus. Strong knowledge of various cleaning techniques including carpet cleaning, buffing, waxing, and general janitorial procedures. Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively. Excellent organizational skills to coordinate daily tasks efficiently while adhering to safety regulations. Ability to operate professional cleaning equipment safely and effectively. Attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
