Job Description

Job Title:
Maintenance Technician Job Description The maintenance technician will be responsible for troubleshooting all mechanical and electrical issues. The role involves working primarily on preventative maintenance and responding to repair calls from operators. The technician will work on various equipment, including corrugators, printer presses, die cutters, auxiliary equipment, glue machines, and any other equipment throughout the plant. The position requires utilizing knowledge of bearings, conveyors, drives, gearboxes, and more to troubleshoot mechanical issues. Electrical tasks will include wiring, working with 3-phase motors, diagnosing drives, and working with PLCs such as Siemens or Fanuc controls. Responsibilities Perform maintenance duties to troubleshoot and repair defective equipment in a timely manner. Perform predictive and preventative maintenance duties and generate work notifications to address any issues detected. Complete work order cycle within
SAP:
create orders, perform work, confirm time, and enter equipment history. Work closely with all team members to ensure each task is completed safely and efficiently. Assist other team members in the plant to minimize downtime and maintain quality. Additional Skills & Qualifications 2-5 years of industrial maintenance experience High School Diploma or GED Minimum of two years of industrial maintenance is preferred Two years of vocational training in electrical technology is preferred Operational knowledge of automated industrial machinery, including motors, servos, pumps, drives, relays, 3-phase power, communication devices, industrial/electronic controls, and power transmission systems Good understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems Ability to install and set up both A/C and D/C drives PLC troubleshooting and problem-solving ability with practical, mechanical, and electrical aptitude Ability to read and interpret both electrical and mechanical drawings Work Environment The position is based in an industrial manufacturing environment. The shift is primarily 3rd shift from 11 pm to 7 am, with training provided on the 1st shift from 7 am to 3 pm. The role may require working up to 12 hours if needed. The dress code includes wearing personal protective equipment such as hearing protection, safety glasses, safety toe shoes, and flame-resistant clothing. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Olive Branch, MS. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $37.40 - $37.40/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
