Hotel Maintenance Engineer - $18.00

We are looking for a dependable, motivated, and experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our hotel team. The ideal candidate takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and fully operational property while delivering excellent service to both guests and fellow team members. As a Hotel Maintenance Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring guest satisfaction by maintaining guest rooms, public areas, mechanical systems, and the overall appearance of the property. This is a hands-on position that requires strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Key Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance, preventative maintenance, and repairs throughout the hotel property Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, plumbing fixtures, electrical systems, appliances, lighting, and mechanical equipment Complete repairs in guest rooms including drywall, painting, carpentry, flooring, locks, and minor appliance repair Respond promptly and professionally to maintenance requests from guests and hotel staff Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities, equipment, and public areas to identify maintenance needs Maintain swimming pool, hot tub, fitness center, and exterior grounds as needed Ensure all equipment and systems are operating safely and efficiently Assist with emergency maintenance situations and on-call responsibilities when required Follow all OSHA safety guidelines and hotel safety procedures Maintain accurate records of work orders, preventative maintenance schedules, and completed repairs Work closely with housekeeping, front desk, and management teams to ensure smooth hotel operations Assist with renovations, deep-clean projects, and property improvement initiatives as needed Qualifications Previous hotel maintenance, apartment maintenance, facilities, or engineering experience preferred General working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems Ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues efficiently and independently Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment Must possess excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays when necessary Valid driver's license preferred HVAC certification or trade certifications are a plus but not required Physical Requirements Ability to lift, push, or carry up to 50 pounds Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces for extended periods Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and holiday pay Employee hotel discounts Career growth and advancement opportunities Supportive and team-oriented work environment Ongoing training and development opportunities We are seeking someone who is dependable, proactive, and committed to maintaining high standards throughout the property.
