Maintenance Technician

Role:

We're seeking a dependable, hands-on Maintenance Technician for a large industrial complex in East Asheville. This is a fast-paced, high-visibility role supporting a mix of commercial and government tenants. No two days are the same—this position is ideal for someone who can pivot quickly, take ownership of their work, and maintain a professional presence while handling a wide range of maintenance needs.

Responsibilities:

Respond to maintenance tickets in a timely and professional manner Perform general troubleshooting and light repairs (plumbing, electrical, HVAC support) Complete minor carpentry, painting, patchwork, and hardware repairs Conduct routine exterior maintenance (debris removal, light landscaping, seasonal upkeep) Perform property inspections and log updates in a digital maintenance system Coordinate with vendors and contractors as needed, including occasional weekend scheduling Maintain a clean, safe, and presentable environment throughout the property

What We're Looking For:

Experience in commercial or industrial property maintenance Strong communication skills with a professional, tenant-facing demeanor Positive, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to jump in where needed Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities Comfortable in a fast-paced, occasionally labor-intensive environment Familiarity with maintenance work order systems (or willingness to learn)

Schedule & Work Environment:

Flexible scheduling required; some early mornings or extended days may be needed Occasional weekend availability for vendor coordination Overtime may be available based on workload, but is not guaranteed

Requirements:

Previous maintenance experience preferred Background check required (Real ID or Passport required) Reliable and dependable with a strong work ethic

Compensation:

$20.00 - $23.00 per hour, based on experience
