Maintenance Technician- Construction- ENTRY LEVEL

We serve more than 100,000 happy Hatteras Island vacationers each year. Overview We are looking for individuals who have Maintenance or General Contractor experience, strong leadership and delegation skills, competitive spirit, dedication, loyalty, passion for winning, strong work ethic and driven to excellence at the highest levels. This individual will work out of the Avon and/or Salvo office. Responsibilities Always treat homeowners/guests/team members with courtesy and respect in a variety of situations. Display honesty & integrity. Employs excellent employee relations and team building skills. Maintain open communication with the maintenance manager and maintenance coordinator. Willingness to learn. Preform general home maintenance repairs

Qualifications Education/Certification:

Graduation from High School or GED equivalency

Experience:

1+ years maintenance experience, preferred. Must have a clean driving record and have a valid driver's license. Ability to multi-task while being detail-orientated. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Manage work orders through mobile device. Working weekends and holidays is required. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Basic knowledge of appliance repair, plumbing repair, HVAC, painting, electrical systems and carpentry skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Ability to multi-task, work in fast paced environment and have a high-level attention to detail. Maintains a professional appearance. Physical Requirements Physical activities may include climbing stairs, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, walking, standing, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and performing repetitive motions. Employee must have the ability lift up to 40 pounds occasionally.
