Role:

Join our dynamic team at University Highlands Student Apartments as a Student Housing Maintenance Technician! This exciting position offers the opportunity to ensure our student community enjoys a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained living environment in beautiful Boone, NC.

Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from residents and ensure timely resolution. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory of supplies. Assist in the preparation of apartments for new residents, including repairs and cleaning. Collaborate with the property management team to enhance overall property quality. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes. Provide excellent customer service to residents and maintain a positive community atmosphere.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent; HVAC certification a plus but not required. Proven experience in maintenance or a related field, preferably in residential settings. Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems, or ability to learn. Ability to troubleshoot and repair various maintenance issues efficiently. Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Willingness to be on-call for emergency maintenance situations. Must be willing to live on-site in company-paid housing after successful completion of a 90-day probationary period. As an alternative to living on-site, you must live no more than a 30-minute drive from the property.
