Garage Door Technician

•Our business is based in Durham, but this is a service area position. You would park your van that we provide at your home and work around that area. We are looking for people who live in or around the Triangle area to serve our customers there.•WeFixIt Garage Doors and Gates is seeking a Service Technician / Installer who will be responsible for garage door repairs, maintenance, and installation of both residential and light commercial garage doors and gates for the Triangle area (Chapel Hill, Cary, Morrissville, Durham, Hillsborough, Apex, Burlington, Greensboro, Fayetteville, or Holly Springs for instance). We are a local, family-owned, and operated business that is 100% customer service oriented. We value quality service over sales, so you won't need to be a salesperson, just a people person. Responsibilities:

Repairing/Preventative maintenance and installing all types of residential and light commercial garage doors and gates Must present themselves with a positive attitude and demonstrate excellent people skills Adhering to codes, regulations, and safety standards Maintains customer rapport by resolving concerns, answering questions and openly communicating with the customer Maintain a clean and organized company provided vehicle and/or tools Inspect job sites both pre and post-work Honor five-year warranty on our work Candidate requirements: Experience in repair and installation of garage doors is required. You must demonstrate a high level of maturity, willingness to learn, and dedication. Valid driver's license. Must have a good driving record. Basic electrical/mechanical skills. Ability to use a ladder and power/hand tools. Requires exceptional customer service abilities to provide excellent client education for appropriate repair, maintenance, and needed upgrade services. Inventory and restock parts in the service truck. Physically able to move heavy objects and the ability to bend, climb, reach, kneel, etc. Work some evenings and weekends.

Compensation:

This is a full-time year-round commission-based position. Looking at our technician's pay, it breaks down to $27-$31 an hour based on a 40-hour workweek depending on your level of skill.
