Job Description:
Mainteance Technician Maintenance Technician in Gastonia, NC, is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing plant equipment and facilities . The role minimizes downtime by addressing mechanical, hydraulic, and plumbing issues to ensure a safe, efficient manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities Equipment Repair & Troubleshooting:
Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and plumbing failures, replacing or fixing defective parts like valves, pumps, motors, cylinders, and hoses.
Preventive Maintenance:
Conduct routine checks and servicing to prevent equipment breakdowns and extend machinery lifespan.
System Installation:
Assemble and install facility plumbing and piping systems, including drainage and water supply.
Documentation & Compliance:
Maintain accurate work logs, report on needed repair materials, and strictly follow all safety and company regulations.
Technical Reading:
Interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and engineering drawings to guide repairs.
Requirements & Qualifications Experience:
Proven experience in a mechanical maintenance role, ideally within an industrial or manufacturing setting.
Knowledge:
Strong, hands-on knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulic principles, and plumbing codes.
Physical Capabilities:
Ability to stand for long periods, work in varying conditions, and safely lift/move heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs).
