This role is vital to ensuring the continuous operation and optimal performance of high-speed tobacco processing equipment. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in industrial maintenance, mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, and a strong understanding of manufacturing facility operations. You will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and optimizing tobacco high-speed machines to maximize productivity and minimize downtime. Duties Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections on high-speed tobacco processing machinery to ensure operational efficiency. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ammeters and ohmmeters. Repair or replace defective components including motors, belts, gears, sensors, and control systems. Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to diagnose faults and implement corrective actions. Maintain accurate maintenance records using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for work orders, parts inventory, and maintenance history. Conduct welding operations specific to welding standards when fabricating or repairing machine parts. Operate industrial equipment such as scissor lifts safely to access elevated machinery or components. Assist with troubleshooting HVAC/R systems related to plant climate control when necessary. Collaborate with production teams to schedule maintenance activities that minimize impact on manufacturing output. Support field service activities by providing technical assistance during machine installations or upgrades. Follow safety protocols rigorously, especially when working with high voltage or low voltage electrical systems. Requirements Proven industrial mechanic experience within a manufacturing facility environment, preferably in high-speed production lines. Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by expertise in hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, and schematics interpretation. Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and industrial electrician skills. Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance planning and documentation. Ability to read precision measuring instruments for alignment and calibration tasks. Knowledge of welding techniques specific to welding standards. Experience working with HVAC/R systems and understanding of HVAC principles within an industrial setting. Competency operating scissor lifts and other industrial equipment safely. Excellent analysis skills for troubleshooting complex machinery issues efficiently. Effective communication skills in English for clear documentation and team collaboration. Additional assets include military background or field service experience in industrial maintenance roles.
